Anyone who knows us, knows that we are a bunch of crazy-passionate animal lovers, in fact the amount of animals we have rescued, adopted or fostered collectively as a team, easily out numbers our board and volunteers!
Many of the non-profits that we support are in the animal welfare trenches working tirelessly to rescue those that can be saved for fostering and adoption; feeding the hungry and lost; healing the abused and confused; and helping to solve Houston's long term stray animal population by spay and neutering. This can be an overwhelming task given that Houston sadly has an estimated whopping 1.2 million unwanted dogs and cats!
There will never be enough words to show our appreciation, love and gratitude to our friends in the non-profit animal advocacy arena... so, we show our support by creating up-cycled products to benefit them, collaborate on projects to help spread the word, and advocate for them – whilst they are the voice for the voiceless.
Here are a few of our ongoing projects For the Love of the Animals...
T-shirts that are beyond saving usually end up in the landfill so we collect wash and craft them into soft washable Tuggi-luv dog toys! A staple of our whenever we do pop-ups about Houston.
We designed the One. Point. Two shirt to help spread the word about Houston's estimated 1.2 million homeless animals – a statistic that EVERYONE should know about! Photo by Robyn Arouty
We pretty much make collars out of everything we can but these are up-cycled from Men's ties so are super dapper for the serious dog about town! Available mid August via our retail partner House Account.
