Magpies & Peacocks, London Fashion Week AW19 – Undone by Jerri Moore + Clarence Lee for Magpies & Peacocks is headed up by celebrated designer turned film producer Jerri Moore and successful contemporary women's wear designer Clarence T. Lee, and is inspired by vintage patterns donated to the organization by Moore. Jerri’s original pattern designs echoed the flowing glamor of gowns and separates from the 1940s, and were completely reworked and urbanized by the team for the 2019 runway entirely up-cycled from reclaimed fabrics. Inspired by the iconic work of Raf Simmons, Valentino and Hubert de Givenchy, Lee's work borrows as much from the past as it projects the future – celebrating classic silhouettes with unconventional sustainable materials and androgynous styling. Bold, practical, real and unexpected. Currently his pieces are sold in over 80 stores throughout the US as lead designer for a popular ready to wear brand in Houston, and he is studying technical Refiber development as a Fellow and one of the lead designers at Magpies & Peacocks. Jerri Moore, just back from the Cannes Film Festival with her latest movie ‘Bull’ is on the Advisory Board for Magpies & Peacocks. Textile fine artists were Nicola Parente and Robert Hodge.
